A $100 annual administrative fee is collected when your first appointment is reserved.

Recommendations may include nutrition, lifestyle changes, professional-grade supplements, medications when appropriate, additional testing, or supportive therapies available at The Kinney Clinic. Because healing is a process, your plan may continue to evolve as your provider reviews your progress and learns more about your needs.

Appointments & Ongoing Care

    To reschedule or cancel, please contact us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged the full visit fee.

  • Yes. The Kinney Clinic offers secure virtual appointments for many new and established patients, depending on the provider, type of care needed, and the patient’s location. Virtual naturopathic and functional medicine appointments allow you to meet with your provider from the comfort of home. Some evaluations, treatments, and therapies require an in-person visit at our Annapolis, Maryland, clinic.

  • Virtual appointments are charged to the card on file on the morning of the scheduled visit. If the payment is declined or the card needs to be updated, our team will contact you before the appointment. Any supplements, products, or additional services recommended during the visit will be charged separately afterward.

  • The timing of follow-up appointments depends on your health concerns, laboratory testing, treatment plan, and progress. Your provider will recommend an appropriate follow-up schedule for your individual needs. Visits may be more frequent at the beginning of your care and become less frequent as your health improves and your plan becomes established.

  • Current patients may communicate directly and confidentially with their provider through the secure OptiMantra patient portal. The portal should be used for questions about treatment plans, symptoms, medications, supplements, and laboratory results. Please do not send private medical information through regular email or social media.

  • OptiMantra is The Kinney Clinic’s secure online patient portal. Patients can use it to complete forms, review treatment plans, access shared documents, upload laboratory results and medical records, and communicate confidentially with their provider.

Insurance, Pricing & Payments

  • The Kinney Clinic is a private-pay naturopathic and functional medicine practice and does not participate with or bill health insurance companies directly. Payment is due at the time of service. Insurance coverage varies, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider before your appointment to ask about possible out-of-network benefits.

  • Yes. Upon request, The Kinney Clinic can provide documentation that includes applicable diagnosis and service codes for you to submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement is determined entirely by your individual plan, and we cannot guarantee that your insurance company will cover or reimburse any services, laboratory testing, or treatments.

  • The Kinney Clinic accepts major credit and debit cards, Health Savings Account cards, Flexible Spending Account cards, and CareCredit. Payment is due at the time of your appointment or service unless another arrangement has been approved in advance.

  • Yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards as well as CareCredit for eligible services and purchases. Because individual plans have different rules, we recommend confirming eligibility directly with your HSA or FSA administrator or CareCredit before your visit.

  • A $100 annual administrative fee is collected when you reserve your first appointment and renewed annually. This fee supports the systems and administrative services that help our team provide responsive, coordinated care.

    The annual administrative fee includes:

    • Secure messaging with your provider through the OptiMantra patient portal

    • Supplement and prescription refill processing

    • Coordination of medical records, laboratory results, and care summaries

    • Assistance with health-related forms and documentation

    • Ongoing administrative support from The Kinney Clinic team

    The annual administrative fee is nonrefundable and is separate from the cost of appointments, testing, supplements, and therapies.

Labs, Prescriptions & Supplements

  • Yes. The providers at The Kinney Clinic can order conventional laboratory testing and specialized functional medicine testing when medically appropriate. Testing recommendations are personalized based on your symptoms, health history, current treatments, and wellness goals. Coverage and pricing vary by laboratory and insurance plan.

  • Yes. Recent laboratory results from your primary care physician, specialist, or another healthcare provider may provide helpful information and may prevent unnecessary repeat testing. Please upload your results to the secure OptiMantra patient portal before your appointment so your provider has time to review them. Additional testing may be recommended if more information is needed

  • Laboratory results are added to your secure OptiMantra patient portal as they become available. Your provider may recommend a follow-up appointment to explain the findings, answer your questions, and discuss how the results relate to your personalized treatment plan. Please remember that results from different laboratories may arrive at different times.

  • Yes. Depending on the provider’s credentials and scope of practice, our naturopathic doctors and family nurse practitioner may prescribe medications when appropriate. Medication recommendations are based on your individual health needs and may be incorporated alongside nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, and other holistic or functional medicine treatments.

  • Current patients should submit prescription and supplement refill requests through the secure OptiMantra patient portal. Please include the name, dosage, and pharmacy or product information with your request. Some refills may require a follow-up appointment or updated laboratory testing so your provider can confirm that the treatment remains safe and appropriate.

  • Professional-grade supplements recommended by your provider may be purchased through The Kinney Clinic or our online Wellness Store. Some practitioner-grade products require provider approval before purchase. Please contact our office or send a portal message if you need help locating or reordering a recommended supplement.

IV Therapy & Restorative Services

  • You do not always need to be an established patient to receive IV hydration or nutrient therapy at The Kinney Clinic. New IV clients must complete the required intake and medical screening process, and our IV nurse may request recent laboratory results before treatment. Eligibility and the most appropriate IV formula are determined based on your health history and individual needs.

  • Laboratory testing requirements depend on your medical history and the type of IV infusion you are considering. Some IV therapies may be available after completing a health screening, while others require recent laboratory results before treatment. Our clinical team will review your information and let you know exactly what is needed before your appointment.

  • The Kinney Clinic offers a variety of restorative and advanced wellness therapies in Annapolis, Maryland, including IV nutrient therapy, injection therapy, red light therapy, Ballancer® Pro lymphatic drainage, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, AMP Coil® PEMF therapy, craniosacral therapy, and visceral manipulation.

  • Yes. Intake, screening, and consent forms must be completed before your first IV therapy or restorative-service appointment. These forms help our team review your health history, identify possible contraindications, and provide a safe and comfortable experience. Forms may be completed through the secure OptiMantra patient portal before your visit.

  • Prepaid packages do not expire, allowing you to use your remaining sessions at your own pace. All packages are nonrefundable.
